M. Gursel Cinar - Technical & Business Development Director, Verwater Istanbul

Gursel Cinar studied Mechanical Engineering and graduated from Middle East Technical University in Turkey in 1983. Gursel started his career in Petroleum Industry in 1986 at Sarir Field of Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) in Libya. After 5 years at Maintenance Department of AGOCO, he joined Mobil Oil Corporation at Technical Department of Atas Refinery and lead the management of various Refinery upgrading and revamp projects. In 1997, he accepted a position as Project Manager for conversion of an Off-Shore Drilling Platform belonging to Saipem. After successful completion in 2000, he became a partner and General Manager of an EPC Contractor Company in Turkey and lead the successful completion of various Terminal upgrading and maintenance projects at POAS Fuel Storage Terminals, Tupras Izmit Refinery and BTC-Ceyhan Crude Oil Terminal. In 2006, he joined BP Oil International PMT as Construction Manager for Atas Refinery/Terminal Conversion and Upgrading Project. He played an important role in completion of the Project successfully, and immediately after, he took the role of Project Manager for execution of Terminal Integrity Management(IM) Projects.

After successful completion of BP-IM Projects at Atas Terminal at the end of 2009, Gursel joined Verwater Group and has been appointed to Technical and Business Development Director of Istanbul Branch Office as of January 2010 as being responsible for operations in the territory of EMEA.
