Verwater Goes global story of Paul Verwater Owner Verwater Group
I believe in there is only one word which has brought us to where we stand now and that word is: Doing! Make the difference, instead of trying to make a difference.
With our typically Dutch and Rotterdam tackling mentality, our team conquered the world of oil storage depots. In the meanwhile the family company, started in 1922 doing civil construction, is presently active on four continents.
Teambuilding
We owe our success to the tremendous team spirit our company has. It’s unfortunate that many see teambuilding as a dirty word. What strikes me as odd is that there is little attention given to training in the teambuilding phenomenon. Everyone seems to be focused more on the individual, while in daily life job must often be done together.
Dirty hands
I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty, it’s simply part of our business. You cannot escape dirty hands when working in oil terminals.
I am proud to say that our overall concept is unique in the world. We aren’t yet complete, we're not specifically looking but if there is something that suits us, then we go for it. This is one of the attributes that makes us a stronger contender than others.
Growth
The growth in the coming years mainly comes from abroad. In the Netherlands there is little development in the tank construction. Here we are quite full. But we can invent new things in terms of automation, maintenance and land. We are now working for a customer to increase its storage tanks, for which we have developed a new jacking system. We will add other related disciplines in the near future and then we go into the world. We are very serious in participating in the big growth markets of South America and the Middle East.
Finally, I look forward to meet you, whether you are a client or new employee, the future looks bright with Verwater.
