Vopak Phase VIII

In September 2009 Vopak entrusted Verwater to build them 4 new, state of the art tanks. These tanks are part of an ongoing expansion program Vopak has undertaken. Mechanical completion was scheduled and finalized in February 2011.

The tanks of Phase VIII each have a capacity of 40,000m³, this will bring the Vopak Europoort Terminal 160,000m³ extra capacity for oil. Verwater has build the tank pit and foundations for the tanks. The tanks will be equipped with heating coils. Verwater also took care of the fabrication of these heating coils. Our in house painting division have coated the tanks.
