Yasar Sencil - Managing Director, Verwater Istanbul

Yasar Sencil began his career with BOTAS (Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation) in 2000 as a Project trainee at Ceyhan Crude Oil Terminal in Adana. He assigned as cost and planning expert at BP - BTC (Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan Pipeline) Project in 2002. He is promoted to Senior Cost and Planning Supervisor role in the overall organisation in two years. In 2005, Yasar moved to BP ATAS Refinery in South Coast of Turkey as Planning Manager for the Refinery / Terminal Conversion and Demolition Projects. After the successful completion of internal Business Risk Management trainings in UK, his assignment in BP Oil International was extended to Project Controls Peer Reviewer for Downstream Projects in various BP Terminals in Europe such as Amsterdam Terminal, Gustavsburg Terminal, Hamble Terminal and Belfast Terminal projects.

Yasar Sencil joined Verwater Group as Services Manager at Amsterdam in July 2009. He then appointed Managing Director at VERWATER EMEA Istanbul Branch Office in January 2010 as being responsible for operations in the territory of EMEA. Besides his study in architecture, he is an economics graduate, and holds a Master degree in Business Administration.
