In 2019, a novel rotating construction method was introduced for tank construction, utilizing a welding technique where the tank revolves around the welding apparatus instead of the traditional method. This innovation enables welders to work more efficiently without the need for constant movement, resulting in reduced costs and shorter lead times. Exolum became the pioneering client to adopt this innovative rotating construction method.

Arjen Schneiders, Managing Director of Exolum Amsterdam, expressed the benefits of this new approach introduced by Verwater: ‘The new method of rotating construction that Verwater introduced here has benefitted us in several ways. For example, lower costs and a shorter lead time. That puts our new tank on the market sooner."
