Verwater constructed three tanks with external floating roofs for the Maasvlakte Olie Terminal (MOT), each boasting a capacity of 120,000 cubic meters, inclusive of civil and piping works. This expansion augmented MOT's total capacity by 360,000 cubic meters, elevating the terminal's capacity to 4.5 million cubic meters. MOT, a collaborative effort among BP, ExxonMobil, Kuwait Petroleum, Shell, Total, and Vopak, plays a pivotal role in the logistics chain between oil producers and the five Dutch refineries by storing substantial quantities of crude oil.
